    Chris Hedges, at about 2:01 – 2:30 of the clip:

    “Hope has a cost…it is not about the right attitude or peace of mind; hope is action…The more futile [an act], the more useless [an act], the more irrelevant and incomprehensible an act of rebellion, the faster and more potent hope [which is action] becomes…Hope knows that an injustice visited upon our neighbor is an injustice visited on all of us.”

    Indeed, hope has a cost, and that cost is your mind’s ability to think logically.

    Good grief, he even had a script from which to read.

    At least he got the part at 5:52-5:55 right. So maybe there is reason to hope for good things from this guy after all.
