In our previous post we wrote:
This will be followed by a gloating session, hosted by George, with three grinning white guys, and a sulking African-American woman brought in for balance.
In fact, it turns out, the role of the woman was played by Margaret Ellen “Peggy” Noonan – former speechwriter to President Ronald W. Reagan.
Peggy is not African-American. She did not sulk, nor did she offer any balance.
Instead she sighed, vacuously, like a character out of Gone With The Wind, and launched into her usual insufferable nonsense regarding some obscure moment of 19th Century history or some such crap – with which she, apparently, has first hand experience.
We do apologize for the mistake.
