Iraqi Reporter Throws Shoe At Bush (With Translation)

From the New York Times

A statement from Mr. Maliki’s government described the shoe-throwing as a “shameful, savage act that is not related to journalism in any way.”

From Threecrow:

A savage act?  Where has this guy been casting his eyes?

This was such a fitting ending to our story of little george bush playing with the tapestry of life in Iraq.  This guy is the thing that myths are made of.  Had this happened 3000 years ago he would have slowly been changed from mortal to god, and ended up on glyphs drawn on walls and pottery.  In any event, he’ll never be allowed to buy a cup of coffee again in the Muslim world.  He will be told wherever he shops, “Your money’s no good here.”  God, this was a perfect ending.

(Curtain closes.)
